Independently owned, on FM 1488

PCAB accredited

Your neighbors' pharmacy.

Triumph Pharmacy is independently owned, PCAB accredited, and the only pharmacy in Magnolia where your hormone cream, your child's medicine and your cat's thyroid gel can all be made by the same pharmacist. If the shelf cannot solve it, we make it.

Start here

Can we make it? Just ask.

Most people arrive with one specific question. Type it below — a medication, a condition, or “my dog won't take his tablets” — and get a straight answer.

Type anything — a drug name, a brand, or “my dog won't take his tablets”. Answers are instant.

Try one of these

Independently inspected and accredited — because you should not have to take a compounding pharmacy's word for it.

  • ACHC and Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board — accredited
  • PCCA proud member
  • National Community Pharmacists Association member
  • International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists member

Why us

What being the only one in the room buys you.

There are other compounding pharmacies within driving distance. Here is what is genuinely different about this one — for patients comparing us to a chain, and for patients comparing us to another compounder.

  • Family, and family pets

One pharmacy for every member of the household

Dr. How is a Fellow of the American College of Veterinary Pharmacists as well as a bio-identical hormone specialist. Your hormone cream, your child's flavored suspension and your cat's transdermal gel can be compounded under one roof by one pharmacist. Almost nowhere else can say that.

  • Nutrition, properly

    A pharmacist with a Master's in Nutrition

Not a shelf of supplements and a guess. One-to-one consultations with a pharmacist who studied this, pharmaceutical-grade lines that physicians ask for by name, and allergy testing where it will change the answer.

  • Independently owned

Nobody above us to answer to

No regional manager, no corporate formulary, no script for how long you are allowed to talk. Every decision made by the person who owns the place and lives in the community it serves.

  • Retail as well

A full pharmacy, not a compounding boutique

We fill ordinary prescriptions every day, give vaccinations and run flu, strep and HIV tests. You do not need a complicated prescription to become a patient here — you can simply move your everyday ones across.

Why compounding

It starts with a problem the shelf cannot solve.

The child who can't swallow pills. The patient with a gluten allergy. The much-needed drug that is in short supply. For whatever reason, many people aren't served by mass-produced medication.

  • The right strength

A dose that is right for an adult is often wrong for a child — or for a cat. We compound to the strength your prescriber actually wants.

  • The right form

A suspension, a cream, a lozenge, a troche, a transdermal gel. If swallowing a tablet is the obstacle, we remove the tablet.

  • Without the ingredient

Dye-free, gluten-free, lactose-free, casein-free, preservative-free. The active drug stays; the thing you react to goes.

  • When it's discontinued

Manufacturers discontinue medications for commercial reasons, not clinical ones. We can often still make it.

Same drug, different shape

Half of compounding is changing the shape of the problem.

When someone cannot take a medication, the obstacle is usually the tablet rather than the drug. These are the forms we most often move a prescription into.

  • Capsule

Any strength, and free of whichever filler you react to.

  • Flavored liquid

The usual answer for children and animals who refuse a tablet.

  • Cream or gel

Acts at the site, and bypasses the stomach and liver.

  • Troche or lozenge

Dissolves in the mouth — absorbed without swallowing.

  • Transdermal gel

Rubbed inside a cat's ear. Painless, tasteless, no fight.

  • Suppository

For patients who cannot keep anything down.

  • Lollipop

Yes, really — the dose put into something a child will accept.

  • Sterile injection

Prepared in our USP <797> sterile lab.

Since the beginning

One road, one owner.

Not a chain that arrived, and not a start-up. A pharmacy that has been part of Magnolia long enough to have filled prescriptions for three generations of some families.

  1. A compounding pharmacy opens on FM 1488

Dr. Sandra How opens Triumph Pharmacy in a small unit at 6875 FM 1488, betting that a corner of Magnolia would rather have a pharmacist who knows them than a queue.

  2. Compounding becomes the practice, not a sideline

Bio-identical hormones, pain creams, pediatric suspensions, veterinary formulations. Word travels between physicians faster than any advertising.

  3. PCAB accreditation earned

A full documentation review followed by an on-site inspection led by compounding experts. At the time, only a small number of pharmacies in the United States met the standard.

  4. A sterile lab, built to USP <797>

Sterile injectables, IV preparations and ophthalmics, prepared in a dedicated clean-air environment with ingredient handling separated under positive pressure.

  5. The move to 7030 FM 1488, Suite 110

Further down the same road — across from Shell Rapid Lube, next to the FM 1488 Animal Center. Bigger, but deliberately still one location.

  6. Adherence packaging arrives

Multimed blister packs: every dose sealed by day and time, checked three times before it leaves. Quietly one of the most useful things we do for families.

  7. Nutrition joins the counter

Dr. How completes a Master's in Nutrition, and one-to-one consultations and pharmaceutical-grade supplement lines become part of the practice.

  8. Same road, same owner

Still independently owned. Still one pharmacy. Still the same person likely to answer your question in the aisle.
